CIP CeHu, looking for some general Centaur advice

Perhaps it's a little late in this character's progression for these types of questions, having finished almost all of D at this point, but I was hoping for someone with some more experience with Centaurs to perhaps chime in and let me know if I've grossly overlooked something that will get me killed in a three rune game. This is essentially my first Centaur character, having only ever created a few in the past just to mess around, and it's my first real attempt at ranged combat - my only previous experience being some melee dude picking up a ranged weapon to pepper targets on their way in but never dedicating and exp to it.

My equipment set feels really awkward for some reason but realistically it's perfectly functional. I think this is just a feeling I'm getting because my defenses are somewhat weak compared to where I would be at this point on a Mi or Dr - do these defenses look normal for a Ce at this stage? My biggest questions are around how I should be skilling this character in the near future. Should I focus more on armor / dodging despite the -3 apt or continue to raise Fighting and rely more on the fact that dead enemies can't kill me and I can kite almost anything?

Conversely with my winning Ce I have worn robes on both and ended up with defenses in the high 20s. I did it for spells and specifically haste though, so if you're not planning on that route, tanky is easy enough too.

I went heavy armour on my centaur win as well, reasoning that the penalty for badly fitting armour ended up being easier to overcome than the evasion penalty from being big. Finished up wearing an artefact splint mail with 25 in armour and 12 in dodging for 49ac/9ev.

I recently won a CeHu, and was also wearing heavy armour (ended with artefact scale mail, AC 40, EV 16)

Seems you raised Bows too much : 22 is enough with Oka and despite the +3 apt, those XP could ghave been used elsewhere.

With your demon trident, you'll want Polearms to 14 for mindelay.

I like to train Traps and Doors around 10 with each character, it's never lost points IMHO.

With your build, I would now go for Armour/Dodging while clearing Lair branches.

There are roughly 100 arrows scattered around the dungeon that I can pick up, but I do recognize that I am running fairly low on them. I should be just going to clear Zot after getting the Vaults rune and then ascending so I should have enough arrows to complete that if I'm careful.

I'm surprised you're running short on arrows after doing vaults. Did .12 cut down on arrow generation later in the dungeon? Or have you fired a lot into water?

Regardless, you can go untrap all the arrow traps and/or do Elf.
