Does that mean there would be a new unique on Swamp as well? Personally I don't like having those new uniques around, the game was hard enough without them

Is this a new unique on 0.12? So Arachne for the Spider's Nest, Lamia for Snake, and Illusiw for Shoals.
Does that mean there would be a new unique on Swamp as well? Personally I don't like having those new uniques around, the game was hard enough without them

Don't forget Jorgrun. Every major Crawl release has a host of new uniques. Lamia is uniquely tough however, as I already discovered to my peril

Jorgrun can very easily deal upward of 90 dmg to you in very few turns (petrify, shatter).

Lamia is one of the only uniques that I am truly terrified of and will never fight again. Giving something OOD and mesmerize is just downright cruel.

Lamia is one of the toughest uniques, up there with Mara and Mennas. Just avoid her. Jorgun can do significant damage, but you can avoid a lot of it (maybe most of it) by simply not standing next to a wall.

So you think she isn't one of the toughest uniques? She is slow, but her orbs of destruction are pretty fast. And it's hard to run away when you are mesmerized.
