It's been noticed before:

I've fiddled with some of the thanks settings but it doesn't help.
galehar determined that it was in the forum code itself, and beyond his power to change.
It's definitely possible to fix somehow, because some of the thanked posts in this thread show the dates: viewtopic.php?p=16872#p16872
But I think our only hope is for njvack to get server permission from Napkin and work on the code.
