Seeing an un-IDed scroll in a wand shop would amount to identifying the recharge scroll. Um, there are no antique wand shops to my knowledge, so it would be listed as "a scroll of recharging (unknown)". It wouldn't tell you which of your scrolls are recharging until you bought it. oh oops

I agree with your overall point, and would like to add that this— 95% of the people spend 95% of their time pre-rune is particularly a problem that should be tackled. The early game is the most boring part of the game (imo), so it's not good that a large majority of players have to spend most or all...

The thing I hated most about FD/Evap is that they were in the Transmuter starting book. Now that that's been fixed, I don't have quite as much of a problem with them. They'd fit in nicely to an Alchemy school if that ever gets done.
