Let's be honest, the only people who are capable of adequately answering why more women don't play Crawl is the women who don't play Crawl. Men who play Crawl and women who play Crawl are not fit to answer this, for what should be obvious reasons.

Artificer's 3 wands are in my opinion the single most interesting start in Crawl and it's not even close. Nothing about this needs to be changed. Your problems center on the premise that Artificers should focus on Evocations as their main killdudes method, which I think is incorrect.

For what it's worth, I think making hellfire the same color as a poison or ice attack is far less misleading than making it look like a fire attack. I'd throw my vote for green.

You can also go into the IRC channel ##crawl and access any player's dump using the !log command.

Example: !log kroki won -> gives you the morgue file for your last won game.

I like this change a ton. Probably a good thing that it's a player nerf, since Crawl is leaning pretty heavily in the player's favor right now as opposed to any version I've played (since 0.10 at least). Not having to try on every piece of armour is quite welcome. Thanks devs!

Well I have to say the Tier II was a bit easier than I was hoping. I knocked it out by the end of Lair with Chei -> Trog. Championed Chei by around D:10, mollified by Lair:3, and championed Trog by Lair:8. Pretty great game too, got a vamp demon whip on Lair:2. :)

Originally I had Elf:3 as the requirement for the Tier I but it was a little more difficult than I wanted. I am okay with the Tier I being an extra point for making it a certain length through the game on some weeks. Week 1 was very similar in that regard.
