I somewhat disagree about statuepodes *needing* SH, superb melee damage and good AC/EV is quite enough even without a shield, but more defenses don't hurt of course.

But Str is especially good as a statue and a good offense is the best defense so I'll switch.

As a reply to both of you: would it really matter? Getting skills to 27 is what happens in the extended game. You could get there earlier with a +N species, certainly with a +4 one. But which skill would be worth raising post 27?

What if skills didn't max out at 27, but got more expesive to improve? It'd affect the 9th level spells for sure. In armour, another level would really help to get them reliably castable. Do frogs get to leap? Felids don't, and they do goodstabs. They are stealthy enough to not need them anyway. You'd maybe get a goodstab or two more if they had them, but good stealth apt does pretty much the same. Without goodstabs, a jump attack is pretty much useless.

I'd play OpAs the same way as any Op: UC + forms. That way, Statue Form will be the ticket for victory. And Oka is the perfect "Tm" god: UC benefits the most from Heroism. Finesse + UC (+ Heroism) should be enough to deal with even the toughest dudes even without forms, at least 1-on-1.
