Right, I did notice that the tile-changing was good at times. Once on this mummy I was trying to survive and then suddenly a demon got replaced by a wall tile, enclosing me within! Basically a free Tomb card. But a few turns later I was exposed again.

Probably due to chance. Overall, there are more shops though, but not at D:10. Orc:4 has guaranteed 4 shops, and Vaults:8 often has a few shops too.

Trolls should go unarmed because they have few alternatives. Centaurs and Minotaurs are much more versatile so while Unarmed is certainly viable, so are other weapon schools. Kiku is not a bad choice for a transmuter.

Fog scrolls are also useful when a TP (forced by disconnected deep water oceans) drops you in the middle of Antaeus's party, and you lose 230 HP in 2 turns.

Yes, keeping weapon skill at minimum delay is enough for a 3-runer. Hell, it's almost enough for a 15-runer - I've done a DrGl of TSO with a eudemon blade at just 14 Long Blades. Took down fiends with no problem (damage-wise).

I don't know the exact percentages but after reaching min delay, the only benefits you get are +Acc and +Dam. +Acc is pretty negligible so it's mostly for the damage.

Right, Jiyva isn't COMPLETELY useless in the early game. You get * piety almost instantly, and with that you can "summon" Jellies. Great in corridors when you're fighting orc packs that are stronger than you. Just summon one, swap places, and watch 'em die.

Yeah, Snake is really the easiest rune to get in 0.9. Even Greater Nagas don't pose much threat when you have MR and a shield (hopefully of reflection, to poison the nagas with poison arrow). I haven't gotten a Snake generation 0.10 but I can imagine that Constriction kills melee characters.

A level 14 VpIE of Ash destroying everything in Orc with a great mace of crushing, 18 M&F skill, and 15/20/0 defenses with Ozocubu's Armour. A DDEE ghost will petrify you and destroy you with iron shots.

If you have the experience to spare, sure. Medium armour (like the dragon armours) work well with points in both Armour and Dodging but for the heavier armours, dodging is less useful.

A scroll of torment can be used to deal high, unrecoverable damage instantly to the Royal Jelly, but watch out for "J" spawns in the double-digits.

Search for glowing/runed maces and flails, and find every one of them, read a scroll of detect curse, then wield-test the uncursed ones. Brands aren't THAT rare.
