Going back for the amulet is what I've done in similar circumstances, was there a reason you couldn't? (eg running out of food?)

Ah, ok, I guess I was confusing 'active' with 'special' (eg Cleave). Never mind then, yeah, 'active' are a hassle.

Nausea won't necessarily wear off, but you can eat while nauseated once you hit "Near Starving", that may be what you were thinking of.
