Yeah, I appreciate the canine tip but I really don't like the idea of this as an interstitial start screen kind of deal. Its the kind of info I'd rather get from forums, bots, irc, etc...when I want to play I just want to go immediately.

Yeah my worry in Zot is generally my +2 non-body non-artefact pieces. (or more recently, a GDA that I picked up late after I'd already used up most of my enchantment scrolls) Its sounding like I'm probably just worried too much about losing a few points of AC.

Note that some monsters have been renamed, others have been changed, so those diffs can be a bit misleading. My list was based off of the constant names being the same (eg MONS_CENTAUR). I'd probably do a couple more levels of dungeon then hit up Vaults(1-7) or Spider(1-4).

You definitely don't want to tangle with Slime Pits, and I'd hold off on Swamp until you're ready to get the rune because its a hassle.
