Spider is not harder because it was basically untouched, but shoals is significantly harder because of recent changes, sirens probably being the least of these.

Orcish weapons actually did a decent amount for orcs of Beogh with good piety, unless you don't think that a free ring of slaying about +0,+8 isn't a lot. Removing racial armour would likewise be a beogh nerf, though these might be problems with Beogh rather than problems with removing racial armour.

Well extra damage from distractostabs could be quite significant if you are playing, say a HaBe or KoBe, but that would not be the primary benefit of either stealth skill or BIA on such characters.

Just give nets a 0% chance to mulch on a miss (This might already be the case, not sure), give escaping monsters or players a greater chance each turn to escape, and let the nets do a mulching check every time a monster gets out (by wiggling out, cutting the net, or dying, doesn't matter)

Evolution is a "good" mutation that gives you more mutations over time. Each mutation that it gives you has a 50% chance to be good and a 50% chance to be random. So it will give you generally good mutations and eventually remove itself. Not worth using !cure mut on IMO. Save that in case ...

I totally agree, since rods are generally really good to find and usable on basically all characters. More so than spellbooks which are on autopickup by default. In the meantime you can just add this to your rcfile: autopickup = $?!+"/\% Also if you want runes this will probably work autopickup...

Hexes are a little different from damage spells in that you can generally tell how many hits it takes to kill something. Hexes either effect something or they don't and humans are generally awful at estimating probabilities.

If I recall, an abjuration duration of 1 (what I'm assuming that number is) is more like 7 turns or so ,same as Summon Hydra.

Do revenants summon lost souls at all? I have played around with them a bit and they haven't yet summoned them for me.
