Haha, I've tried starting a number of kenku air elementalists myself; never mind trying to set up quadzaps, I've found it difficult enough to set up situations where the bolts don't bounce and kill me. At least not without walking halfway across the dungeon and having all the monsters chasing me. :r...

Throwing: turn it off immediately. Never get it, if possible. Unless you're relying on blowdarts, or throwing large rocks, it's a useless waste of xp. Worse, under Oka and Trog it nets you useless dart gifts. Throwing is just fine even if you're not using blowguns. Javelins are great throughout the...

Does branded ammo work the same as branded melee weapons?

So, AFAIK, fire/frost branded melee weapons do +25% damage against non-resistant monsters, but still do the standard base damage for the weapon type against resistant monsters. Does this also apply to branded ammo and darts? - It seems like maybe branded ammo does entirely elemental damage, as even ...

Regardless of the weapon, you might miss it 10 times in a row and it hit you every time. Alternatively it might hit you with a giant spiked club and do no damage while an orc priest can hit you for 20 damage with a dagger. Essentially what I'm saying is that in Crawl, a lot of things that are determ...

I was wondering if it was possible to not use a ring of teleport control, ie do an uncontrolled blink/teleport while wearing it.
