I did it once to see how many lives it would take a spriggen to kill Mennas with a quick blade. Far, far too many. Go back with a dagger and Stabbing of about 16 (and enough stealth to keep him asleep) and you won't have a problem. Then do it again. And again. Once for every time you died trying it...

The Abyss gate vault has been in for quite a while, at least since 0.8 if not longer.

And the metal walls aren't lying. It's an exit from the Labyrinth, after all. Just not the exit.

Lightning breathers and casters are far better at bolt bouncing than you ever will be. And this is even with the cap on number of hits from a single bolt in recent versions.

It may look odd but Fedhas was supposed to be a god who (also) caters for ranged combat, including spells. No, I can see that. Being able to duck behind a barricade that the monsters would have to bash through (and a lot faster than Passwall) is something that ranged fighters would treasure mightily.

That is one of the more awesome bits of writing I've seen in a video game in quite a while. The fact that it was written for an analogue to TrBe (smash things, eat, repeat until win) makes it that much more awesome.

I'm running one of these right now, and it is indeed sickening how powerful pacification gets. The Orc Mines is a good news/bad news situation. Good, because you get the racial bonus for pacification. Bad, because you can't eat orc corpses and thus you can't pull the trick of pacifying some of a mob...

I think the joke is to remove the ctrl-s save function and replace it with a consumable.

Except that for this to really work as intended, you can't just read the scroll yourself. You need to be standing on an altar of the Save God and pray.

I'm the wrong kind of blue name, but your sling doesn't care what kind of armour you're wearing. Stabbing wouldn't be impaired much either.

You had a known potion of resistance. That should have been the first thing you used when you saw Nikola 28 turns prior.

The scroll of fog would have helped break line of sight.

Airstrike also does quite respectable damage on dancing weapons. If you get something big and close, though, it may not kill it in time. Especially those polearms.

Learn which enemies are brittle and thus vulnerable to LRD without Petrify. Most monsters that are primarily mineral (bone, rock/stone, metal) are, but there are a few exceptions.
