The most satisfying moments I get from the game are escaping those apparently hopeless situations where you are on 5hp or less, with something about to hit you. If I could just take the hit, then reincarnate, this would be nothing like as much fun. I don't like playing felids for similar reasons.

Is there any information on the changes in this version? It's available (as is .11) to tiles players on the new server; I tried it but can't say what's different as .11 is equally new to me.

James Kelman is my favourite modern Scottish author. Try Bus Conductor Hines or A Disaffection. He writes in Glaswegian vernacular, which can be a bit impenetrable, but his powerful humanism shines through.

Gray's short stories are ace btw.

Currently using a +6, +3 hand axe of electrocution; just found a +3, +1 battleaxe of freezing. With 10 skill in Axes I figure the hand axe is best for now, but at minimum delay might the battleaxe beat it? I tried using the spreadsheet but it seems to be broken for battleaxes and executioner's axes.

I think it means to attack a monster with missiles and/or ranged spells while keeping it at a distance by moving in between attacks. So you need to be faster than the monster. Think of a spriggan armed with a sling taking down an ogre.
