With stoneskin and snakes, you could just about add a weapon choice to Tm and let players ignore the later forms in the starting book. You would hope to find petrification, statue form, irradiation, and passwall to get more use of your skills.

I think the "malmutate simply changes your color" would make the spell worth learning if it's in your wheelhouse. I agree that being able to cycle the resistance manually would lead to degenerate gameplay.

Being more cursed gives more skill gain to weapons and defenses, right? So it makes some sense to keep jewelry cursed as well.

At AC42 EV 27, I would value +6 slaying and blink over +8 EV. Once you can cast blink and if you find a good triple sword, switch to Shaolin.

I couldn't tell you if wielding a cursed amulet stops you from unwielding it. It's a perverse kind of genius to figure out a way to save a remove curse scroll. I can tell you that in trunk, killing mummies doesn't curse equipment. I don't think mummies exist outside of ossuaries other vaults, though.

The damage from the bite is high, so the anti-magic effect is high. Or it's high if you raise your STR and DEX and train fighting. A fast weapon gives more chances to bite. OoF die easily to a VS with a quickblade.

1) Player draconians used to be able to wear dragon armour. And maybe robes, the same as Ogres? Maybe the tiles date from that time. I don't know; I don't play tiles.

2) Enemy draconians don't drop armour when you defeat them, so they aren't wearing armour.

In a recent game, I read a teleport scroll next to a dangerous enemy, cast ball lightning, found that my surroundings changed, then walked back to find the enemy dead.

So they can still explode while out of LOS.

I think it's a penis joke. Staves are typically longer in one dimension than in the other two, and anything that fits that description is often compared to a penis, presumably for "comedic" purposes. Also, maybe demons can be male, so that makes it even more funny.
