Would cblink have gotten me anything on Z5? I thought it was equivalent to scrolls of blinking which act uncontrolled on Z5.

I've never learned to use the high level necro scrolls.

I've never had a problem with Zot 5. Had a DEFE who faced three OOFs and wiped them out with iron shot. And yet a DECj who can cast hungerless Shatter and Firestorm gets wiped out by one OOF and a pack of draconians. Probably should have bailed, hit TP, then gone downstairs. Instead, tried to battle my way out, not so good (confused, miasma'd, and down HP by the time I finally bailed to an open area of Z1 filled with draconians and dragons).
