I can make room for it by forgetting Bolt of Draining. I have a demon trident that I've been poking over my allies with instead of blasting through them, and Iron Shot when I need to deal damage at range.

I'm using the large shield because it gives a better SH + EV than the buckler. The buckler was +3 rF++, and I have the rF++ on that plate mail so I don't need those resistances in the shield slot. I expect that the exec axe is better damage-wise already at skill 18; ?EW have been thin on the ground....

I was under the impression that allies do not fight enemies out of your LOS. An ally at edge of LOS will stand stupid and get whaled on by an enemy just around a corner--is that correct (anymore, or ever)?

I can't check the numbers now, but it seems that you assume +0 weapons without brands. While it makes the comparison easier as UC generally does not have bonus or brand as well, it makes the table a little bit misleading IMHO, because most of the time your best weapon is not +0 and without a brand ...

I just pulled up wizmode for 0.21, and there is definitely not a green hand icon on the monster even as the messages continue to talk about it struggling to escape, and even as it does not follow me. This is 0.21.0 Windows Tiles stable, (20180105).

I believe base damage cannot be compared to slaying because base damage is multiplied by several factors which depend on weapon skill, fighting skill and strength while slaying is a simple addition. Also I ignore accuracy as I am lazy to calculate it and chance to hit greatly depends on monster EV....

By the way +0 GDS was rather bad for orb run. Probably there was a +5 plate armour or something assuming you were not extremely unlucky with scrolls of enchant armour.
