Re: CIP: TrMo, some key strategy decisions to make

Well, I got a TrHu to 15 runes with an IDA. IDA is great - it's almost as good as PDA for AC and GDR, with the same EV. It looks like you've managed to cancel the fire vulnerability, which is a must. For pre-extended, my strategy was: Kit: IDA, large shield, javs+large rocks+hand axe of returning fo...

Found this in the tomb: n - the amulet "Thonualo" (around neck) {rMut +Blink +Rage +Inv +Lev rElec MR} (You found it on level 3 of the Tomb of the Ancients) [amulet of resist mutation] It insulates you from electricity. It increases your resistance to enchantments. It lets you turn invisib...

UHs show up as disturbances in clouds, so a scroll of fog would work, as would freezing / poisonous / mephitic /steam clouds etc, provided you had the right spells and resistances.

Could you post your morgue file?

6 things come to mind: 1) Choose your battleground carefully : Always fight well within explored territory where possible, so you know your ground and you can be sure the the noise of the fight won't carry to any other dudes - you should have let the gecko come to you and fought behind the wall. Re: kiku's torment

Careful with kiku torment reduction - On average you lose only 20%HP at max piety (16% with rN+++), but it varies a lot from one instance to another - sometimes he blocks it completely, sometimes it's a reduction, sometimes not at all. Don't rely on it for every single instance. Edits: typo correcti...

Re: The Tomb as a Melee Character

Well, I've just taken the tomb without too many problems with a Demigod Gladiator, using this little strategy guide: 1) Gear: a) You want at least rN+ (to cut out pain and reduce torment a little bit), but preferably rN+++ (to reduce torment quite a fair bit and cut out draining). b) At least one =S...

though I wouldn't want Kiku (can't pain brand your fists) Can I just say the exception to this for me would be a Troll Monk taking the extended game : Kiku is great for a food delivery service where monsters don't leave corpses, he blocks death curses (which is great for the Tomb, Hells and if you'...

CIP: FeFE (Ash) on Orc:4

Greetings crawlers Seeing as most of my victories have been either stabbers or melee dudes, I thought I'd try a caster. After a few splats, I actually seem to be doing OK with a FeFE (of all things). Basic strategy is to use intrinsic speed, stealth and Ash info to sneak up on dudes, back out of LOS...

felid stabbing?

Hi

How does being a felid affect your stabbing ability? How much stabbing skill as a felid do you need to equal someone with a dagger and 15 stabbing, all other things being equal?

Couldn't see an answer to this in the knowledge bot / wiki / forums.

Cheers

Greetings crawlers Victory number 4 - just an ordinary 3-runer this time. Re: CIP: TrHu (Oka) - Kiku switch?

Update - now have 7 runes. Abyssal was easy but tedious. Fiery was very lucky - I entered Cezza's level right next to the rune in a 4-tiled room deep in the castle, with just 1 brimstone fiend for company, so I took him out, grabbed the rune, magic mapped the level, cTele'd next to an exit portal an...

Re: CIP: TrHu (Oka) - Kiku switch?

rN+++ is pretty much useless, especially now that you are XL:27. The rN+++ is the least useful perk that TSO grants. He'd still be a good option but you don't seem to like him for the hubris he implants in you. Hmm... interesting. I thought rN+++ took some of the sting out of torment? If it's usele...

Re: CIP: TrHu (Oka) - Kiku switch?

Actually, just thinking about it, maybe TSO isn't so bad in this case - I could use the rN+++ from him to go shieldless, and swap the rN+ ring for the rF+ ring of sustenance, which, along with the big food supply I've built up, should do me for food. Plus I could painlessly convert to Zin for the He...
