UHs show up as disturbances in clouds, so a scroll of fog would work, as would freezing / poisonous / mephitic /steam clouds etc, provided you had the right spells and resistances.

How does being a felid affect your stabbing ability? How much stabbing skill as a felid do you need to equal someone with a dagger and 15 stabbing, all other things being equal?

rN+++ is pretty much useless, especially now that you are XL:27. The rN+++ is the least useful perk that TSO grants.
