You could also lean into the similarity of missiles and conjurations, and give the same sorts of drawbacks to low-skill missile combat that exist for conjurations. I have a hard time imagining a more MP- and HP-efficient way to kill monsters than derived undead. Yeah, sitting around and resting will eat the time off your zombies but you have the zombies so you don't need full MP and HP bars to go around and kill monsters.

Honestly I'd ditch rings of fire/ice as enhancers; we already have staves, archmagi, brilliance, int, skills, wild magic, and augmentation which is maybe enough spell power modifiers

That's exactly what I would have done!

The one downside to Damnation is that it's pretty loud, so it's a good way to tell a bunch of dracs right where you are.

Regular kiku piety + simulacrum is... probably enough. I guess you could go from "as many derived undead as you could want" to "I can't believe how many derived undead" but I would probably wear Spirit because having HP is a good way to not die.

Yeah, you already have a holy broadaxe you can enchant to at least +4, plus a +9 elec dwhip for single, non-evil targets you want dead even faster. Plus renewable source of "better than haste for combat". Plus you can learn necro spells.

Yeah, there's literally no point in going lower in abyss if you can avoid it. There's also no point in tackling a rune vault that looks tough, just keep walking and you'll eventually find an easier one.
