Death scarabs (Infestation) & spectral allies (Death Channel) are also great, but require killing stuff before Fighting the OoF. I don't remember: does BVC work on OoFs? Generally, ...

I agree. I've played a few Okawaru games recently with throwing as a supplemental attack. The inventory clutter and decision making is much improved. The replacement for paralysis and confusion needles is much better balanced: it's still strong at high throwing, but not insta-kill broken. I like boo...

If you don't do a PR, it definitely won't get accepted.

If that's too many negatives for you, a PR is the best route to getting these changes made, even if it has a small chance of success.

Also, the next 2 levels of the mutation make your MP regen so fast that it's a huge bonus to spellcasters. Granted it might take many XP levels before you get those next levels of the mutation.

I don't know the GUI, but find the button for rebase and click it. It won't destroy any of your work. If you're lucky, it will automatically rebase your changes onto the current master. If you're unlucky, it will walk you through manually fixing anything that needs fixed.

I agree that the expected value of unidentified artefacts is fairly low, but the possible maximum value is very high. Spend the money when you have it on types that you would use if they turn out to be good, e.g. don't buy a robe on a heavy armour dude, etc.

What's the trap nearby? Is it teleport? (I'm not a tiles player, so I don't know the glyphs.) If so, stepping on that is faster than reading a scroll.
