Re: Generic Brainstorming!

I know this was already suggested earlier in this thread, but I think there should be death curses for player mummies. Maybe the curses could get more severe the higher in level you were when you died. Sure, it would hardly help you, since you're already dead when it happens, but it would add a note...

You have a Book of Power - memorize the Poisonous Cloud spell from it. You're still in a stage of the game where it's extremely effective. I've scored a 5 rune run with berserkers before, so it's probably doable with octopodes. I wouldn't switch gods if that's all you're going for. If you DO want to try for an all-runer, TSO is what lots of players go with (and TSO's summons are even better for the endgame). Just be warned that Trog's ...

Advice? Sure. Orc priests - especially multiple ones - are always bad news early in the game. They can smite you if they can see you, which scores an automatic hit. Crossbows (and bolts) are more common deeper in the Dungeon, when you start running into yaktaur packs. They're like centaurs, except not as fast. But they make up for that by hitting a LOT harder.

I've seen Tiamat on Zot:5. Moths of wrath near orb guardians are also a very ugly sight, while we're on the subject.

He probably won't have to worry too much about draconian callers (the ones that summon drakes), as he has abjuration and it's a pre-.10 game.
