Crypt is notorious for being a pretty chill place to bide time/gain xp. There are some dangerous monsters (alich and curse skull), but even considering these rare threats crypt 1-2 feels roughly as dangerous as V 1-4. It is definitely safer than depths, and you can clear it after depths if you want....

Wa randbooks are weird. They [tend to/always] have two spells, one lv 1 and one lv 3. I don't see why they can't have lv 2/4/5 spells. Also, because the spells [tend to?] contain one mutual school there is a disproportionate chance of getting meph/ignite pois in any given wa game.

Apport is xtra broken in abyss.

Abyss is miserable in general tho. It is unpredictable and therefore more dangerous than vaults or slime, it is likely to mutate your character, and it deals real world sanity damage via tedium. Lucy makes it safer, but would not recommend regardless.

It's worth noting that there's no rush to get ice beasts online. It's a powerhouse through lair branches and remains good in vaults. Lightning spire remains powerful even longer, but it doesnt carry you the way ice beasts can in the midgame.

Does invo increase card power? I don't think it says it does anywhere in game (whereas ^^ specifically says that piety increases power), and nem has active abilities with fail rates which is sufficient reason to have invo as a trainable skill.

I enchant whichever piece of armor I have the lowest chance of upgrading. I almost always use the scrolls immediately, but if my aux slots are +2 and my body armor sucks, I may wait to use them until I find an armor more suitable in the long run.
