The big benefit of Robe of Night is that fire storm can be cast out of your LoS with it on - so if you see something dangerous you can haste, kite it out of LoS, and keep fire storming the edge of LoS until you feel more experienced. Cheap and effective.

Only beating a zig (leaving Zig:27) makes future zigs tougher.
If you play online, use !lg * x=zigscompleted to see how many zigs were fully completed (left from Zig:27).

If the last action on a berserk was attack/butchering, you can still pass out from exhaustion (1d4 paralysis). Because NO_BERSERK_PENALTY is -1, not 0, and is only caused by xom/deck of cards themed berserks. Normal berserks only reset to 0, not -1. I apologize to anyone who was mislead by my stupid...

Distraction occurs (with a % chance) whenever a monster is hit from a source that isn't you.
Your shadow mimic counts as not-you.
The monster hitting itself counts as not-you (for example if it hits itself with a reflected bolt of lightning).
