Well, IIRC orcs also get like 20 ammo or something when you give them a ranged weapon, but that doesn't last long.

In my experience, beogh usually ends up gifting ranged weaponry eventually, and either way them being able to actually use ranged weapons depends on beogh gifting them ammo. actionable advice: give all warrior orcs polearms, only train a small amount of orcs at a time, preferably give orcs spears or tridents because they attack faster with them and beogh can gift them shields because those are one-handed

does the ground gives way still have the thing where for a while it's good to use your bare fists to punch things unconscious and then throw a rock at them while they're down to kill them, because fists let you do more 'damage' than weapons for a while because you have two of them but it's non-letha...

Elec is at least as good in terms of damage as flaming/freezing, even on normal speed weapons. It's just that it gets way better than those brands on fast weak weapons. It's never bad.

Seems like it overlaps a whole lot with transmutation casters, except you only use one form and your aptitudes change. I don't really understand why disallow stat boosting. Players usually don't wear +str/+dex/+int rings unless they are unrands with other effects, which are rare, and Chei is totally irredeemable without stat boosts. Another way to tackle that issue is to remove them because the gameplay experiment of "what if you were strong but had no regen" just turned out to be really unfun in crawl

Unfortunately autoexplore will also butcher corpses automatically if you have that feature on, preventing you from animating them, which means either not autoexploring or not auto butchering if you want to get the most out of animate dead.

WRT resists, I would rather that they scaled 33%-66%-100% to be more consistent and easily understandable from pip to pip, or 30%-60%-90% if immunity should not be possible.

Aside from that I don't have strong feelings about them. I think they're never required, but that's fine.

I get my information from the learndb because it's usually much more accurate and helpful than the wiki.

Nah, it sucks for any kinda character. I don't want more food. I almost never buy food from normal shops on any kind of character and when I do it's generally just on a random whim because I'm not buying anything else
