Re: New God Proposal: Phos, God of Transformation

I thought Chei was the default Tm god due to his stat boosts? Devolve should cost a tiny amount of piety, otherwise there is no reason not to constantly spam this until it lands if you know it can succeed. Stone to gold encourages tediously picking up every stone. It's also not clear if you get gold...

Back when TRJ didn't spill jellies on polymorph, a funny strategy for defeating it was reading one of these and blasting it 2-3 times with a wand of polymorph (at 18 Evo) to transform it into a titan or something. I think one person even used Step From Time and had TRJ kill itself on the slime walls...

I've used decks of summoning as a non-nem before if I'm already running decent Evo (e.g. from rods/elemental evokers.) Fists have base damage 3 with no UC training, daggers have base damage 4. Tengus can try meleeing jackals, Talon 3 is 9 extra damage per attack, Pecks are 3 extra damage and offhand punches are 5 extra damage (jackals have max 8 HP.)

They can't run away and conjurers don't start with a melee weapon, so they can't fight them off until they pick up a dagger. Every race begins the game capable of casting "Fist", which has only 1 less base damage than a dagger (not counting mutations.) Tengus also have auxiliary attacks t...

Ash gives up to +9 to the relevant skills (the amount is determined by piety/cursed equipment), which is mitigated by the amount you've already invested (the more you invest the weaker the boost is, in 0.14 the penalty was skill/4.) You only get the bonus if the skill is trained to at least 1.
