YAVP: FeNe^Sif, ROAR!

Just got shafted from D:7 (still almost unexplored) to D:10. Standing next to a Hound, in range of an Orc Priest, Orc (trident) and in LOS of six (6!) Killer Bees (Yes, they are faster than me). Got a spare life, so not a complete disaster, but still the most dangerous shafting I've experienced. Unl...

Re: YAVP: GrWz^Veh, Fire Storm is great, shame I didn't have

And, that's it. Finished the character off after a five month break. Unsurprisingly, it was still very strong when I continued. Stuck with Vehumet in the end. Just found the Book of Annihilations. It has all the spells Vehumet offers plus Fire Storm. Right now the character has a comfortable (but not perfect) spell set up. It's a bit annoying that Nem can backfire with stuff liks this. My personal pet hate in destructions is degeneration. It does 'helpful' things like turn vault sentinels into ghost moths.

Re: CiP: GrWz^Veh, spoilt for choice.

Well, static discharge is obviously the best kind of discharge. Glad I took it. Turned down bolt of draining (got bolt of magma in a book). Might avoid training earth for a little while because the same book as shatter and I don't want to 'waste' my final gift. This character feels extremely strong....

YAVP: GrWz^Veh, Fire Storm is great, shame I didn't have it.

Nothing particularly exiting so far. I didn't take Shock and Freeze. Bad idea? Freeze would've allowed me to train some Ice, to get better spell selection later. Now Vehumet offered Static Discharge. Gr have rElec and SD bypasses AC and can do a lot of damage. Unfortunately Gr have poor Air apt. Tak...
