Yeah, train dodging with something like FDA. Further advice for future runs "a +6 ring of protection" is really good and far better than see invisible. Use these when fights are iffy: b - 5 potions of speed, e - a potion of might.

Don't run toward unexplored territory if you can avoid it.

Well, I agree to an extent with raukolith in that I almost never do elf, but if I do it's right before I do Z and especially Z:5 if I'm short on resists or something. That's mostly so I can ROFLSTOMP pretty much everything there and don't waste time and turns and don't have any significant danger.

Gold acquirement is absolutely worthless unless you're a) looking to buy something in a shop or b) looking for Zig money. Literally every other type of acquirement is better barring the previous sentence. Well, maybe not food, but at least you can use the food for something immediately.

Iron shot is not a bolt spell and while it's more powerful than OOD, it's probably not worth skilling too since it's inaccurate at lower power levels.

While not terrible ideas, they seem to have little benefit for non-trivial amounts of work. You can already look and see when your character is Full or Satiated. While interesting, I'd like to see something along the lines that LO have when they get heated up and can't use scrolls. Maybe Yeti get conserve potions but each potion takes 2 turns to drink instead of one, or you only get 50% chance of quaffing it or something like that.

Dungeon has been nerfed. I had a game where I didn't even do any serious scumming and had 3 bazaars, two labyrinths and a wizlab. And if you have flight, you're probably also undervaluing the power of the water card.

In mid game, there are tons of edible corpses. Secondly, getting high level conjurations up early allows you to branch out earlier into other things that will keep you alive like fighting and dodging.

They are better conjurers than HE but sturdier than DE. They also have flight and inherent swiftness + dodging boost when flying. They also level up much faster than HE do, so at an equivalent dungeon level you'll have similar HP until later in the game. With all that said, I also want to like Tengu...

Are you sure you hit the cap at 10.5? It might be that it's at low fail then. I honestly haven't played Lucy that much but I was able to banish things with OK (60s) MR pretty easily with 14 but some uniques (Wiglaf who killed me when I went kamikaze) were able to laugh in my face.
