If D:15 is uncleared then yes, go there. I'm afraid you'll have to go back to Snake (or Shoals) after this since all other places are worse ideas. I would go to snake because many monsters are under speed 10, were you using that to your advantage in your tactics? Otherwise watch out for the damage s...

Sack of spider has a chance to be destroyed with every evocation in trunk, I would not train Evo just for it. I agree (unless we are talking about a situation where you're in extended, have say 5-7 sacks of spiders and no urgent skill that has to be trained), but I would consider my sacks of spider...

I like melee mummies of Gozag and I thought I might as well try streaking since I've not tried seriously for ages (I was mostly a really new and awful player when I tried). This is just a small streak, but it's still better than my previous attempts. The general strategy was to use the first good we...

Do you have any good evocables? Thinking mostly about rods and sacks of spiders/boxes of beasts, and then you could also use hex wands along with those after training Evocations. If there's nothing like that, more dodging or fighting never hurt. I would wear the MR ring over the rpois str ring mysel...

You just need to be aware of that possibility though, and calculate the possible monster damage accordingly. You definitely need more fighting for extended, your HP pool being larger would greatly increase your chances of surviving. I most consistently use the shop ability to get a good weapon at about the time I start Lair, probably a couple levels in. Around then, your money should be approaching levels where you can buy a shop, a weapon and still have enough left over for a potion petition, which is important.
