Re: DrAE number 12 is considering Slime, but is heavily muta

Unfortunately, this character splatted in Pandemonium after clearing Elf, Slime, Crypts (except for a corner w/ an archlich), and the Vestibule of Hell. He seems to have forgotten to finish Vaults . . . The splat happened when he tried to fight a Hell Sentinel in a corridor by using OoD and Tornado,...

Chain lightning one-shots fiends , by the way, and never misses. I'd heard good thing about chain lightning, but when I used it against 3 relatively mundane monsters standing next to me (stone giant + some zombie + yaktaur, or thereabouts) it took three shots to take them down. Is there some trick ...

I was in a corridor, and I was directly adjacent to the hell sentinel, so it was in the blast of the tornado for the entire duration. Does Tornado deal less damage in corridors?

Edit: oh, and hell sentiels aren't rElec+, they're rElec+++, e.g. completely immune.

So I just had my latest Draconian AE splat in Pandemonium, after running into a 4th Hell Sentinel. They're immune to electricity and cold, so my mainstays of Lightning Bolt and Freezing Cloud wouldn't do anything, and Ball Lightning and Chain Lightning of course wouldn't help, and Air Strike didn't ...

I've been playing AE characters recently, and let me just say that Lightning Bolt is totally worth it. Few uniques resist lightning, and most of those uniques will go down in 1-3 doub...

Holding and constriction on whips make no sense. Whips do damage by lashing the enemy -- the tip of the whip flicks at amazing speeds and tears at flesh.
