There's not really a reason for these to take up an inventory slot. As long as the boost is noted on the skill screen like it is now, the manual itself doesn't need to exist as an item. This would slightly improve crawl inventory management with negligible downside.

Disagree that other Ds mutations are balanced, but agree that passive freeze is utter garbage and flame/freezing cloud immunity are the lamest shit imaginable. Imo remove the passive freeze facet and move nightstalker to tier 3, then come up with another cool mut for tier 2.

Monsters randomly generated with the level have their own weapon tables, which you can look at in mon-gear.cc. Monsters that are placed by vaults can have some or all of their equipment specified by the vault, which is how you get stuff like the abyss rune surrounded by distortion/chaos ettins.

Remove boltbouncing. The "cool tactics" are like, not standing next to walls around certain enemies and luring dudes for a billion years and it's also unintuitive as fuck. In a much tighter tactical game it could make sense, in DCSS I think on balance boltbouncing is dumb and bad.
