The ghost thing is really more a complaint about Shatter/flying/statue form interactions, but that's been around for years and seems like it's going to continue to be that way. Very interesting to see an assortment of conjurations on a minotaur; starting mostly air and then kind of switching to earth. Going for two level 9 spells (even if you were a bit short on getting tornado all the way castable) on a minotaur is pretty crazy though so congrats on the "reaver"...

Half the people want smooth combat, the other half think that would be too easy. There's a solution for both camps:

Just put out a fork where you get the absolute worst result at all times. Your attacks hit for zero, they hit for their max damage all the time. It'll make everyone happy.

To give an example from that old calculator, you have a 58% chance to hit for zero damage (the monster has a fairly high AC value here), but if you do hit for at least 1 damage, the most likely amount you hit for is either 7 or 8 damage. Gauntlets of war are very good and you should use them, but +2 enchantment isn't worth 1 base damage I don't think. Base damage is multiplied by fighting/30, so roughly doubled in the late game. Slaying is rolled 1dX -1, so 0, 1 or 2; on average 1. 2:1 ratio might work as long as you have 0 fighting...
