Anyone know why Ijyb hasnt fallen down the shaft? I've not really shafted monsters before, but I thought as soon as they stepped on it, they'd fall? That shot was taken on the turn that he stepped onto the shaft.

I never train stealth on fire elementalists. Fireball makes a tonne of noise. As does every other spell higher level than it (which you will want to start using shortly) I also very rarely train a weapon skill, but I normally play DEFE - who are better at magic than Dr. So I won't advise too heavily...

Add to that, Hydras also get as many attacks as they have heads. So if its a six headed hydra, it gets to attack you six times in one turn.

Hydras are extremely dangerous and you will die to them a lot. I'd go as far as to say they are one of the most dangerous Melee non unique monsters

So re: Bend TIme - I cannot use it as a gap closer. But, if I use it with nothing adjacent to me, will something that becomes adjacent to me on the next turn be affected? or do I have to wait until the thing is next to me to use it (Giving it a free hit essentially no?)

Thanks. And do I need to use it when they are adjacent to me? Or is it like, a 10 turn period where anything that stands next to me is slowed? (I.e can I use it with a 1 tile gap between me and said monster, meaning that on the next turn, when they get next to me they will be slowed?)

I would not pick Chei for OpTm, but what's done is done. As for the training so far, you should generally prioritize UC/Fighting/Dodging first. So, stabbing is amazing with better stealth skill - even with 0 weapon skill. So much so its infinitely better to kite, lure, petrify and stab. how do passwall stabs work then?

This isn't really a stabby character, but for hard enemies I tend to petrify, stone arrow as they approacch and then stab when they sleep.

Amazingly there isn't one in the entire game!

I think what I MAY Have done is dropped my helmet in Pandemonium when I got the horns mutation from a cacodemon. I think later cured it and have no helmet!

50% XP sucks... but you know what sucks more? Dying.
