I guess I was just either really lucky or have been really unlucky.

Just looking at some of the CiP, the title says XXHu, but their primary skills are melee and not ranged sometimes.

I've noticed people taking a hunter start sometimes but when they post the dump of their files, they look like a fighter. Why not just start as a fighter? Is there some reason to go hunter first?

The +11 plate armor "smot" (Str+3 ACC+5 Stealth++) on my XL 11 MiFi of Oka pre lair. While changing into it, an orc warrior comes around the corner with a polearm. Just not fair.

Ive noticed that I havent been finding nearly as many randart boots or gauntlets just laying around the early dungeon, actually... 0 in quite some time, has something been changed in 12.2 for this? I used to find them often enough that it stuck out to me.

Wish someone would have told me that about 20 seconds ago before I thought my chances of randomly blinking into the middle of a restricted area surrounded by fire for the loot on lvl 1 of the dungeon was in my favor.

Oh yeah, been there. Sometimes they end up being the most interesting though just seeing how far you can go despite being screwed at every turn.

Apparently on games where you dont find a single piece of equipment with SInv, there's 2 unseen horrors on every level... and they will eventually get you. True story.

Yeah I had it. Iron shot just always seemed better, and didnt seem to be as inaccurate as I've seen people saying it was. Maybe ill give them both another try and see how they compare again.

So I cant decide what would be more useful OoD Iron shot/bolt of magma Or taking Venom bolt and poisonous cloud now in the hopes that I get access to some fire based magic later and can get ignite poison and poison arrow? From other games, Im pretty sure that iron shot is better than the poison arro...

So how much str compared to dex would you want? I did fairly decent with my all dex build unless I did something stupid like thinking I could outgun several orb weavers at the same time.

If I am reading this correctly, you want to put points into strength for lets say a HaHu with slings? I was always just pumping dex every time as I thought it affected slings more than str?

Suggested for a KoBe i take it?

Got a few bad and used a cure mutation potion. It removed all the bad and left me with the Ac +1 scales and claws. Ill consider it a win on my part.

only level 10 so not much has cropped up. The int will help get some spells up and going quicker i think

Found a int+4 accuracy -4 leather armour on a Deep elf wizard. is the accuracy hit worth the int? Im thinking no as I tend to rely a lot on iron shot and other conjurations but im not sure really how big of a hit -4 is.

D1 and I found a shield of reflection. Is the sink into shield required to use this worth it? Im really considering it but dont want to waste points if its not useful in the end.

All I have. Just starting to hit lair but havent found a decent spell book to even begin branching out from starter book. Only other decent armor was a robe with +5 accuracy. Not sure how that really effects a spellcaster.

Ok. So I found a +2 leather armor of the butterfly with +lev dex+2.

do i need to train armor as a wizard or is the -1 pretty much going to affect my spellcasting minimally anyways and its not worth it?

I started as a wizard just debating which route to take spell wise really. I suppose there are some other summons available that are just as good?

Ok so I have a question. I generally go ice because I like freezing cloud and ice beasts. What are the advantages for taking the fire route on a wizard? What does it add for giving up the ability to blanket entire areas with ice and decent summons?

Yeah i picked it all up on the previous level or so. I had several large stashes and just hadnt gone back yet.

+rage, +Inv, rC+, rN+, Str+4 Will this make me go berserk or only allow me to as an ability?

Also found a cursed robe with rN+ and MR. would this be better?

found a shop on D5 with a cursed leather armor of Context (rF+ MR) so ac+3 ev-1. 1 being only a small hit to evasion would this armor be advisable until i can find a better robe? would it affect my spellcasting too much?

Sadly it ended. I was in the swamp and ran into a dragon after having to go through an area of freezing clouds. Probably should have just Cblink or teleported instead of trying to OoD it. hit it with two orbs before the dragons bolt of cold killed me. Best run so far. I managed to finish more branch...

Been training in polearms and the skills is at 9 now. I just started really. I just found a randart war axe with freeze, str+2, int+1, and stealth++. Should i start training axes instead, or just wait to find a better polearm? Dont want to make a bad choice now and be stuck with a crappy weapon down...

on a side note. Found a staff of wizardry. Is this better generally than staff of poison? Also have a ring of wizardry but i prefer my ring of +5 str and either ring of magical power or ring of sustenance.
