I started a DsGl of makhleb on cszo...got icy envelope and level 2 black scales right away, so we've already got great AC. Also have extra regen from kills, so no need to rest.

I splatted my MuGl in vaults because I forgot that crystalline bolts can bounce

Closed the door to block the yaktaur captain's line of fire, read tele, died from 40 hp with rC+ to a double zap from crystalline bolt.

Decided to try a Mu of gozag...it's been working out. No food worries, good stuff from early shops, potion petition is useful in a pinch.

I'm sure it could be balanced somehow...make a ton of noise, apply mark, stasis...
(I just want quad damage in the game obviously).

Is optimal play with a weak mummy in vaults waiting on the upstairs until you've killed everything on the level? Because I feel like it might be.

I got the swamp rune with a MuAr on cszo. The character has rods of swarm and ignition, +inv armor, and a bunch of wands. At this point you need to spam rods on every single thing you meet, so it's really tedious :/

G - the +9 steam dragon armour of the First Snow (worn) {Str+5} I - the +0 pair of boots of Zapnurok (worn) {+Inv rCorr Str+4}. Found those on a super op MfBe/cszo that already had a vamp glaive. It needs to get lair runes. E: Didn't notice the post above me was already about this character, sorry!

I guess you might want to empty your wand of fire before sacrificing artifice, or something...but yeah, usually you want to make a decision immediately after the choices are offered.

Midgame for me starts around when sinv and high magic resistance becomes prevalent so cheesing enemies isn't as effective any more.

Casters can somehow end up in front of their own orbs even if you're not worshipping gozag. I've seen this happen with ancient liches every once in a while.

Just picked up and won a MiFi with one rune that was parked outside a demonic rune vault (smoke demon one). Someone's got balls for entering pan before vaults.

Heh, nice! I did the ascension, lajatang of speed is fun to use. The character was powerful enough that I could dive through Zot really quickly.
