How do I kill death yaks? I managed to get a few of them by luring them to the stairs one by one, then kiting them on the level above while spamming confuse, until they are confused, then running in and stabbing them to death.

I found some evocable items (sack of spiders, lamp of fire, several wands). Should I train evocations?

How is monster damage before AC calculated? For example, iguanas have a listed attack of 15. Do they do 15 damage, or d15 damage? Also, short swords have a listed damage of 6. Does a +0 short sword do 6 damage, or d6?

I also have a fen folio. Are the spells in that any good? Also, is Gozag a good god?

How do you save your permafood? Often, I kill a monster, and get its chunks. However, I am not hungry at that time. Then, the chunks rot, and I become hungry after that. What should I do?

Should I train short blades? Gargoyles are bad at them. Also, I saw Maud, who has a scimitar of distortion, and am scared to fight her, as I do not want to be banished. Will petrification +LRD work? She has 80 MR.

How good would weapon be? I need a good mace/flail type, as gargoyles are good at those, and my best weapon now is a dagger. I have already put several levels in maces and flails. Also, I have a wand of lightning.

I am on dl7. Also, I have a ring of wizardry and a +4 ring of increase intelligence, and am worshipping vehumet.

I found a scroll of acquirement, what should I wish for? I am a GrEE, with a +1 leather armor, +3 dagger of electrocution, and only my starting book.

But am I ready for the bailey?

I don't know why a 2 headed ogre appeared. I had not been on that level for long, and had been searching for the sewer portal. Also, do portals time out while you are on other floors?
