demons, and quite some other high level creatures, are immune against silence. knowledge bot shows the !sil flag for them.
regeneration is a good way to get hp quickly, rings or troll armour also help.

spider nests can be dangerous without sInv as there are some with ghost moths in the end. some of the enemies can probably be too strong, i would suggest not to enter.

So in short, more dpt is always good regardless of the target. Less incoming dpt is always good. in your calculations you assume the appropriate skill for the weapon. when you have axe skill 26 (and the appropriate exec axe) the game is 3/4 over. wielding 2h weapons without sufficient skill is some...

the print screen key normally copies the screen into the clipboard.
i usually use paint.net, as it's free and reasonably fast, paste it in there and crop the screen. sometimes i combine several screens into one (skills section, spells etc)

you are spread pretty thin, i would suggest to disable a lot of skills. stealth 12 should be enough for some time, you can train more if you have your target spells. same with traps&doors, 8 is good enough for everything but tomb. conjurations eats a lot of xp due to -3 apt, better to get spells...

chain lightning from Nikola can be brutal, yes.
bad luck in your case, stealth may have helped, but even with stealth situations like this can happen.
not much to say, your character looked fine. deep elves are squishy, fighting 10 and only 87 hp, the hp-change really hit them i guess.

I don't have much experience with bows. Usually it is the ammunition which makes the difference, i think. Slings and crossbows both have steel and silver ammunition, which are a lot better. From what i read on this forum you can deal damage pretty well with a bow, but should enchant a big arrow stac...

You can clear zot without a god, why should it not be possible with Yred?

lvl 14 is quite early for a melee character in the vaults. especially with no resistances at all.
i'd always use a shield with the broad axe.

-2 gauntlets substract armor, no need to wear them.
i would suggest to try scrolls.
focus on casting, disable stealth (and maybe dodging), you can re-enable them later maybe.
first objective is to survive without a big gun spell until you get the first gift book.

bows is way too high. weapon skills only have to be trained to minimum delay (12, i think, for bow). anything you are aiming for? if you plan to use high level summons you are ok, otherwise you should probably disable summoning. you have a lot of skills on training, but all current spells well casta...

if you plan on using spells at all: go for int. but if you plan to go hybrid, another starting background may be better (higher starting int). or even another race... scrolls of fog are awesome, they help against everything that attacks at range, be it dragons, ancient liches slinging crystal spears...

i would not use the sword without clarity, berserkitis can trigger at the worst possible times, wear off quicker than expected if not hitting stuff and leave you slowed or even paralyzed. if you have clarity (and don't need rMut) it is a great weapon against undead and demons, and still good against...

if you plan to cast any spells at all, int is the stat to go. mainly due to str and dex not doing much.
str, as already mentioned, 3 times the ev-penalty. that usually means dex is the way to go.

end game enemies can detect invisible and overall can wake up quite easily With stealth around 15ish i walked around all pan and hell bosses without any of them taking note, they never missed their runes until much later. Still, stealth is unreliable, and if you stand next to an enemy with a dagger...
