My problem was with Angels/Daevas that they seemed to require high invocation and even then they are expensive and TSO piety gain seemed to be too slow to be able to use them frequently. But maybe I should try TSO again one day.

Streak or not, taking a D2 TSO because you plan 15 runes is not a good strategy. TSO is a very weak god before extended. Switching later is way easier if you want TSO for extended than surviving till then without a good god, and this does not change just because both is relatively easy with a troll....

For a Troll it does not really matter to get a god early, so if you enjoy Oka you could easily get it even on a streak even if it only spawns on D9.

I personally hate damage brands everywhere else as well. I hate switching between weapons, it is not an interesting deceison, it just slows down combat for no meaningful reason.

I think that the number of items should be cut down for other reasons than inventory management: too many items cause a cognitive overload, and takes your focus away from the game. When your attack speed is not rounded for your skill level, the attack speed seems to be randomized for every attack according to your skill - higher skill means higher chance for a lower speed. With naga I tend to stairdance more than with other races. I am not convinced that would help, although decreasing speed by 0.1 could make the game better in other ways.

On most characters, I personally identify scrolls first, at least until I have blink, teleport and fear identified. I found those more useful to save me than most potions, and I also think that I have a smaller chance to find good potions than these three scrolls.

Learnig a second school of elemental magic is almost never worths it, as all of them has the same purpose: turn your mana to damage.
