Your functions such as callback.sealing_stone need to be at the beginning of the file, before any map definitions; otherwise they're considered to be part of a map definition.

The proposal you're looking at is from 2011. A lot has changed since then and many of the suggestions there no longer apply.

sprint and zotdef contain saves from Sprint and ZotDef respectively, so those can be copied.

db and des contain databases of text and vaults respectively, which should be generated on a per-version basis, and thus shouldn't be copied.

I love it when, as a Kiku follower and short blade specialist, I find a +8,+7 quick blade as Lair loot.

Really, a +absurd quick blade of pain eviscerates most of the rest of the game.

In my experience, the two major things that make or break a branch are the monster set and the level layouts. Swamp used to have terrible level layouts, then evilmike reworked the level layout algorithm (along with a couple of monster tweaks) and Swamp became much more tolerable than it used to be. ...

Are you going to add the spriggans? (druid, defender,berserker, rider) They are present and accounted for - the current (i.e. in trunk with the disabled branch) code for them places them there, since that's what they were originally designed for. Found an ice dragon hide on D:1 extremely recently. As a troll.
