It does not change much IMHO. You already should get offense and defense before charms. Currently charms are a bit OP so they can survive the nerf.

That's fine. If you have time to cast a buff before hill giant approaches, do it. If the hill giant is already adjacent, just hit it. It should probably make you happy as you will not need to cast the spell often.

Yes, piety increase power of cards indeed. Why do you need cards as DD with vampiric weapon? ;) Ok, I was joking mostly. Clearly it is optimal to clear Elf/Crypt now, even if you are already at full piety.

Another benefit of OP is that it naturally solves problem with too many buffs active at once. You cannot just cast Haste, Regeneration, Spectral Weapon, quaff might etc. and start fighting.

If rings of fire/ice are too powerful without the penalty (probably they are), then we should just discourage swapping, this way player will not forget to swap them off. For example, give them *Draining and remove amulet of Harm.

why tele? tomb can last quite a long of time, literally hundreds of turns. so you can heal to full hp, buff, then use digging or disintegrate and kill them all, it's called "tombdancing" ;)

with poison melee of UC troll I one-shot things pretty often, monsters die on their turn due to poison sometimes. if I was optimal player, I would just retreat after poisoning them.

it's just a different concept, defense instead of offense. spiny 3 does not prevent incoming damage, 5% chance to evade attacks and poison melee does. also sacrificing empty slots means I got some AC for free.

I am not sure. I sacrificed gloves and boots for Tr who cannot use them anyway and I see that 5% chance to avoid attacks and poison melee are very useful too.

yes. orb of fire or electric golem can kill the character with a single attack. being lucky is the point of speedruns, otherwise they would have 100% winrate provided how good players they usually are.

I can buy +5 pair of quick blades "Gyre" and "Gimble" {pierce, Dex-3} so I did some fsim and found that the weapon is better than +9 demon blade of freezing vs stone giant with my skills (including +3 ring of slaying) though the difference is not large enough and I am more worrie...

That won't prove anything IMHO provided how crawl mechanic works. You can be lucky and avoid dying despite having low HP/AC/MR or you can be unlucky and die despite all of them having relatively high value.
