Yeah, looking at the code it looks like he can generate multiple times. I guess the only spawns twice was bad info! I think in that game he just didn't have the opportunity to respawn, it looks like he'll only appear in unexplored Vaults, Depths, Crypt and Tomb floors.

Faith is definitely better than Clarity. Blowguns are good if you need to kill a specific enemy that isn't immune to needles, it's Hexes except it can actually hit high MR monsters with your Throwing skill.

Well, according to crawlwiki (yes, I know, crawlwiki), Brain Feed deals 1d3 INT damage and has to overcome MR (???) so it's a minor inconvenience for most extended characters. Maybe having it deal 1d(INT/3) damage and not requiring an MR check would make it more potent.

See this commit. From what I understand reading the description, previously armour penalty just subtracted a fixed amount EV. Now, armour has a scaling-type effect so heavier armour reduces the amount of EV proportionally to the base amount determined by Dex/Dodging.
