You were lucky. Most of the times I find an ice cave the loot is just lame, maybe having a few weapons of freezing which my character doesn't need because he's either a spellcaster or has a better weapon already.

Well, good old Trog is kind of....special, It's from all the knocks on the head, you understand. So don't be surprised if he sometimes decides you should be using axes when you're a swordsman. Just keep going, he's gonna get the idea eventually.

Hmm well ok, when thinking it over I suspect some spells might fit the character. However in that case I don't think a dwarf is a good choice, even with high INT their spellcasting skills suck. And I just find elves way too squishy to be fighters...hm...Human, perhaps?

Man I hate that vault with deep water or lava around an altar. I think the game actually checks what your character is so it generates the most useful altar for your character in there just to spite you.

Use Shift+X, go to the square you want and press "e" to put an exclusion. Pressing it again removes all but the single tile you targeted and pressing it again removes the exclusion all together.

I'd go with either Trog or Makhleb, really, since both give you even more allies to fight for you. Which one you want is really up to you. One has berserk and gifts, the other has greater demons and healing when you kill things.

Since I started the one about chei spellcasters, might as well start this one too. I've been thinking about a MDFi of Chei, but I'm not sure if making a melee fighter even slower is a good idea. Has anyone tried such a combination and how did it work out?

Well, new and more mature John (Also more Human now too) has gotten his hands on a Book of the Clouds, so I guess now the race against the RNG is on once again in hopes of being able to do The Windy Thing! Wish me luck!

Bones are so not a good idea. Graves though, those sure are. Really, it feels kind of lame when I run into a ghost but never actually get to see the body. Making a marker somewhere, or having a skeleton of the species the character was near the ghost would be cool.

Ah yeah, it was on the opposite wall of the temple. Also the temple itself is one I don't think I've seen before, with a giant pool in the middle, surrounded by glass, and lots of angry sea monsters.

Yeah I know there's the spreadsheet, but this is not about damage. I have a Troll Paladin. Do I stick with the Giant Spiked Club I have or do I switch over to the Great Mace of protection I found? It's damage is lower than the GSC, but that +5 AC sure helps when all you can wear is robes and cloaks....

While he didn't last long, a spellcasting mummy can work really well with Che as well. Once you stack enough ponderous gear your stats will become pretty good (which is important since mummy stats kind of suck) and Slouch is pretty sweet. Actually I think with Che Stasis is one of the worst things you can use, exactly because you can't haste, and have to rely on blinking and teleporting to get away from danger.
