Re: What's your favourite way to run a Spriggan blaster?

V does have some appeal for a FE, the extra range, blastiness, and mp for kills. But yeah, not being guaranteed several nice fire spells is annoying. SpEE does work pretty well. SpAE also synergizes well, you can use spriggan speed to set up and abuse multizapping. Interesting about SpEE and SpAE. ...

Yes, that's what I do too. The question is, it seems to me that counting on casting anything above L6 regularly is not guaranteed, so which school is best for relying on L6 and below spells? I forgot above to add "Poison Arrow" as a pro for VM. After going through the exercise of writing t...

I've been on a mania for Spriggans + Vehumet lately. I'm trying to figure out though the best way to start and run them, particularly in regards to spell hunger and esp. with higher-level spells - Spriggans make great blasters except that it's not really sustainable to keep blasting away with spells...

I tend to stash on Lair 1 and have never had an issue with anything wandering off. I've also read that the best players don't bother with stashing at all. Stashing seems to be something that's done by non-top-tier players because they think it's important to do, but it's not really. Between the issu...

My last promising SpFE was ignominiously one-shotted by Nikola. So when my next one bumped into him sleeping next to a staircase right when I came down, I was overcome with rage and toasted his ass. I'd go for it. You'll still have one !cmut. With all those good mutations, you probably won't want to risk removing them until you have two or three really bad mutations. That may not ever happen, or not for a long time, by which you may have found either an rmut amulet or more potions.

Man, this game is so obtuse. The player is shown a power rating in ######. But that is just an approximation of a scale of 1-200. But even that is not a linear scale, it has gradations at unknown points. And add to that yet that each spell has a different base calculation like 1d8 vs. 2d28.

Unfortunately as a Spriggan I can't wield a staff with a buckler. I've also now got fireball castable without any hunger, and the enhancer is still boosting that.
