Disc already requires a ton of evo and rElec to be useful (it's one of the few items that actually encourages getting to 20+ skill), and the only characters that can afford to just have a rod in hand all the time can already nuke mon...

Vorpal's fine. It has the advantage that nothing resists it. If it did the same bonus damage as flaming/freezing there would be very little reason to pick those two.

MfTm is an MfGl that can summon snakes if you choose to play it that way. And horns until you find some headgear. In fact, Mf and Tr are probably the easiest to get away from the transmuter game plan with.

It is also rather unclear what other effects that !cancel will get rid of. Although most of these make sense, it seems logical that it would get rid of a bad polymorph form and it does not. Removing *Contam gear can also eat up two or three potions.

I would just like to point out that it is literally not possible to auto-explore into the gammafunk water vault (unless mf/op swimming allows it?) in question.

Otherwise, I agree, there should be a stop if possible, when you run into the big "fuck you" vaults, generally.

Floor difficulty is also of course affected in large part by procedural generation, which seems to be getting entirely overlooked here. Unexpected OOD spawns or a really shitty vault that the player doesn't recognize on sight and know to avoid can cause deaths or at least the use of a lot of consuma...
