I agree that the ring's ability to land you in the drink is kind of a problem, and honestly I'd like to see it just give permaflight (not sure whether I'd make the artefact property give permaflight as well, stay the same, or be removed). I don't think making it simply renewable would be a good idea...

It wasn't possible because the demon-summoning hadn't been implemented for them; that's just been fixed, so you can in trunk.

Yes, but only if you're playing a version newer than Friday. So if you're on 0.16, there's no damage difference, except that you don't get poisoned and have damage over time.

I think V:5 can't get shops normally, since they place as vaults and can't overwrite other vaults. (Long ago, they were placed by the code itself, and there were stories of shops in Yiuf's house or under the serpentine rune). That makes the number of shops all the more impressive!

The issue is not that Sequell can not look for it, but rather that the information is not in what Sequell looks at, which are the logfiles. You could modify Sequell to scrape logs, perhaps, but at that point you might just as well write your own bot.
