got a FrAK to xl10... it's ok. hop is nice but really not good enough to justify both slow and poor stats. its imprecision and short range make it more comparable to casting/evoking blink than to having unlimited scrolls of blink. if you try to move to the other side of a monster it has a good chanc...

after playing around with it a bit more i like it. the early game is only a little more tedious, and this is totally outweighed by how convenient it is to be able to cast sandblast at any time through the midgame without having to wield stones first.

I don't think EE would be overpowered if it could just cast powered sandblast without any ammo. It would be an easier and more thoughtless start for careless/new players who screwed up by wasting their stones on bats, rats, unarmed goblins and whatever, though. i find it really frustrating when i don't get animate dead with kiku. it's better than animate skeleton mainly because you can cast death channel, make a lot of noise, and hang back and hex/stab/whatever, then animate dead halfway through the fight and mop up most of the floor with the resulting arm...
