Nah, I'm not new. Played crawl for ~1 year, but I always muck about in WizMode and Arena, trying to determine outcomes of many different situations that I often find myself in.
Never won, though.
And never played this combo, but it's doing a good job for me.

Looks like a very interesting character. Most centaur hunters focus on bows with melee as backup, but if you are really serious about wanting to use spells as backup, then put the rest of your stat gains into int. Chei Int will make it fairly reasonable, and you already have sting/venom bolt/spellf...

Just found the Temple, so I'm going with nemmy.

I found a wand of random effects by zap testing it on a worm, which promptly reformed as that ONE D:2 BASILISK after which I ran downstairs and put travel exclusions encircling the upstairs. :lol:
