I think probably the most painless way to play this challenge would be a spen of ash - it'd be just like a regular spen of ash except with a bunch of wasted xp, but lol who cares. Possibly a merfolk would be better than a troll if you do want to be punching things with all of your skills on.

The only thing I could actually remember about oozes is something that probably should be fixed. It's sort of understandable to die to them but for the wrong reasons: ooze hp varies extremely for a d:1 monster (9-24!), so some random oozes will take way more hits to kill.

The benefit of spoilers in Crawl is in no way similar to Nethack. You don't need spoilers to figure out that it is better to do lair before orc, although I do think that their depths should be changed. I don't know what else I can tell you; I know you don't want to believe me.
