On god choice, you might have better luck with a god who helps you deal with things you can't stab, rather than one who makes more things into kebab fodder. Even Sp^Dith won't get a sneak stab on everyone.

IIRC, the good gods don't stop you from casting Borg's; you just get penance. I don't see why hasting with Chei should be different.

Crypt of the Necrodancer is one of my favorite games of all time. Pretty standard roguelike mechanics, except that there's a soundtrack and you and the monsters move on the beat. It is made with a very large amount of love.

I'd remove the hunger cost for all vamp weapons. I don't see how the hunger cost stops you from dragging monsters for healing all around the dungeon; it mainly makes it really annoying to swap weapons unless you have gourmand or are undead.

Hm, it's interesting that it doesn't show a health bar when it's not damaged.

In Console, it is kind of annoying to see if a monster is standing in shallow water, but that's about the only time it comes up.

TBH I normally have a hard time finding the player doll on tiles screenshots :/

I've never actually gotten Haunt castable; everyone says it's amazing. Why? It seems like it summons some fairly weak undeads... is it great because it's smite-targeted and will slow monsters down, or are haunt summons surprisingly good at killing monsters?

Spell power doesn't matter much for transmutations, (except for irradiate which is secretly a conjuration anyhow) so an enhancer for it wouldn't do very much. Staves would spend all their time melded.

I can kind of get behind a race that doesn't get identify, even if just to see what it would be like. For curses, either the species could be immune, or have an ability to remove them at the cost of some drain. Ash should also reject worship, as scrolls are pretty central to that religion.

Also, ugly things only have rX+, so generally you can kill them by just throwing more elemental magic at them. Very ugly things are more annoying with pure elemental attacks, as they have both another pip of resistance and a bunch more HP.

Throw Icicle is alright but not really worth it imo, this char should have no problems w/ killdudes for the most part and you can just duck the stuff you have issues with. Icicle is really good and will make dealing with hydras and such a lot easier, especially on an Op who will have trouble tankin...
