Went from level 25 to level 27. Also lost half my arrows, unfortunately...

To whoever designed the main dungeon Level 24 with the waves of draconians, bone dragons, tormentors and other mobs, thanks. If I ever finish this level, I'm going to exit the dungeon feeling like I've won the game because this is worse than any level of Zot.

Ok, so if I'm playing a game on server a, and play a bunch of games on server b, but after I win that game on a, I can only streak on server a?

So crawl.s-z.org is unreachable right now with my current tourney char. If I start a new game on cdo, will I lose my current sz game? Can you theoretically play multiple characters at the same time in the tournament on the different servers?

The only Orc4 ending that really bugs me is the one where everything has a crossbow and there are centaurs everywhere. Orc knights with crossbows suck. Meph Cloud is your friend here - spam it and let them kill themselves. I hate the one with the columns and the bajillion Orc Priests & Sorcerer...

Fireball as AOE doesn't miss. You can miss with IMB, throw flame/frost, venom bolt, etc. But AOE like fireball never misses and that's key early on as you want every spell you sling to count.

Yeah, I've got cTele as a spell and a ring. I did clear out Crypt except for level 3, where Khufu was making a menace of himself.

I guess I'll do Zot, then delve into Pan and see how far I get. I've got about 8k in the bank (the first Zig cost exactly 4k) so that should get me at least two more.

So I entered my first Zig with my Zig DEWz... and promptly got Abyssed on floor 17, only to emerge from the Abyss gate in the main dungeon and not in the Zig I got Abyssed from. I thought that was fixed? Sad part is, I have four runes, cleared Elf and Slime, Vaults and Swamp/Snake and still have not...

I haven't done extensive Pan-scumming in my past, but this might be a situation for a local game to try, one where I can drop it for a while, not worry and come back to it in short bursts rather than the mind-numbingness of all-Pan, all the time. The aux attack makes a big difference in the inevitable times you're being swarmed by a bunch of mobs all at once. Killing things quicker is the name of the game.

The first time you feel like your character really is powerful - maybe it's a storm spell castable, or the first time you just TAB your way through an entire room of mobs.. but that's still a pretty good rush.

I was guilty of this after about my first month of playing.. but I got so disenchanted with it that I never finished that particular game. Never again.
