No, it's completely normal for Nemelex to be overpowered. @Sprucery: I remember getting a bone dragon at like D5-7 with oldNem, which is roughly as effective as a Panlord at that stage of the game and, as a bonus, won't harm you with any spells (because it has none!).

you can learn OA at XL3 and typically it will be useful immediately unless something terrible happened to your skills

you can learn SIB at XL4, but typically it's gonna be red and will require some more Ice Magic and Summoning to work reliably

Wrt IE Summon Ice Beasts is great and amazing and provides a lot of damage and also allies allow you to safely retreat if you overestimated your hybrid hybridness. Key spell, IMO.

You are a MiBe, you do not need poison resist ever. Just quaff curing if you get heavily poisoned, don't stand in the poison clouds the dragon exhale, and be careful around those little drakes which breathe confusion.

Well polearms aren't really a ranged weapon ever since throwing spears got removed. Anyway, I can't say 100% that I had it happen with non-polearm melee, but it did happen to me with melee, and I don't use polearms all that much.

It's not a bug that is exclusive to ranged autofight, though it does seem to happen more often with it.

I think Demigods are really weak, to be honest, but I don't think it's a bad thing.

It's a bad idea, you're better off learning how to play and hybridize book classes like Necromancer, Conjurer, Summoner etc.

Justification: early game is pretty hard, XP is scarce. Later the game relaxes and you start getting more XP.

Update on that +9 CPA: I actually died using it in holypan. Didn't expect slow to be that bad! Whoa! Still worth it, though.

Wyrmbane is a really fine weapon though, even if scourge is better.

If harm effect is considered to be interesting, I don't see blocking spellcasters from using it as a positive effect.
