Re: Formicids (Was: Dwants)

They are mortal enemies of the Tengu, who have been the coevolving predators of Formicids for millennia. This is kind of a minor thing, but introducing such rivalry will probably require the flavour text for Tengu to be amended as well, and I do not think they will benefit from it. Tengu have quite...

Of note, isn't a buckler something you strap to your forearm when using a two-handed weapon? When doing so, both could be made less effective. Not really, bucklers are normally held using a handle on the back, which is obviously impossible if you're using a proper two-hander. Also, the devs have be...

You had Haste, as well as potion of speed and a wand of hasting, but you don't seem to mention using any of these, which probably should have been your very first action after meeting the lich. Trolls go quite well with Xom. Regen means you do not have to rest as much => Xom is less likely to get bored, and in the early game it is easier to survive whatever Xom decides to throw at you. TrCK is ok, or you can choose to start as a hunter or one of the backgrounds that has a good book. Cheibr...

The point is, even if you increase his exp value, the game already gives you so much exp from other sources that leaving Boris alive does not make much of a difference.

Installed LMDE (Linux Mint Debian Edition) with XFCE about 2 years ago. I switched the repositories to Debian ones later though, so now it is "pure" Debian Sid with a bunch of packages from experimental. Had been using Xubuntu for about 1,5 years before that.

One thing you can definitely do is switching from that GDA to something lighter. You need (3*evasion penalty) strength not to receive additional penalties from armour, so wearing GDA with only 20 str is not recommended. Plate armour would be a good choice for the time being if you decide to stick to...

With 12-14 Stabbing you'll already be able to kill the majority of enemies, so investing exp in other skills is likely to be more beneficial.

Firestorm is nice, but you do not need to try to get online as soon as possible. You'll probably want it for Vault 8/Zot, but until that time Bolt of Fire/Fireball/OOD are usually more than enough.
