I'd probably do health. Hand is great for transmuters but only when they have some other way to get resistances (armor). At least felid does take care of your rC, MR and sInv automatically, but still.

Well yeah if you're comparing it to a minotaur or even just an average berserker, it's weaker, but the point of this thread was that felid is a given. Be's a strong background for Fe, but you're still a felid.

Do you retaliate against any melee attack, regardless of if it was a miss/dodged/shield blocked? I'm giving this a shot and it seems like I'm blocking a decent amount of attacks and not getting many headbutts. Could just be bad luck, though.

I believe that's maces now; long blades were given riposte. While useful, the general impression I've gotten is most people think riposte is on the weaker side.

I wasn't aware that "does not care about skilling" meant "intentionally skill badly". I suspect that you won't find any winning nagas of Chei that intentionally positioned badly all game, either. Positioning badly all game long is certainly going to get you killed at some point....

Noise management is important only if you intend to be somewhat noisy. For most characters they aren't noisy enough for it to really matter. Even hitting hard in melee is only medium noise. If you want to play a caster with fireball or lightning etc then you need to understand noise mechanics.

By the way it makes sense to lower score when you remove xl cap. It is much easier to win when you have more hp due to level 32 instead of 27.
